The management of Syscomax, a commercial and industrial general contractor, is pleased to announce the appointments of Éric St-Denis to the position of Assistant General Manager; Tommy Racicot to the position of Construction Manager; and Alain Lapointe to the position of Senior Advisor.
Appointment of Éric St-Denis
As part of his new role, Éric St-Denis will provide key assistance to Syscomax’s CEO, Mélissa Robitaille, in her daily activities. He will continue to support the Estimating and Construction Department teams and supervise management of the Engineering Department.
Mr. St-Denis spent eight years with the company as an estimating engineer before becoming Engineering Director and Special Project Lead in 2021. Prior to joining the Syscomax team in 2013, he honed his expertise at Bouthillette Parizeau and Kolostat.
An experienced engineer, Mr. St-Denis earned his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2007 and is LEED® AP and PMP® certified. We have no doubt that Mr. St-Denis will successfully meet the challenges of his new role.
Appointment of Tommy Racicot
Tommy Racicot takes over the reins of the Construction Department from Alain Lapointe. Given his proven commitment and leadership, the transition can be expected to be smooth and efficient. Mr. Racicot will undoubtedly be a solid and valuable asset for the Construction Department.
Mr. Racicot had held the position of Project Lead at Syscomax since 2019, having accumulated seven years of industry experience at various general contractors prior to his arrival.
An engineer by training, Mr. Racicot obtained a bachelor’s in construction engineering from ÉTS in 2013. He has our full and complete confidence as he steps into his new role.
Appointment of Alain Lapointe
Alain Lapointe will support Tommy Racicot, who is taking over his former position, and will now serve as Senior Advisor at the company. Drawing on his career path at Syscomax and years of experience, he will bring a clear vision and an astute viewpoint to assist Ms. Robitaille in the company’s daily operations.
For nearly 30 years, Mr. Lapointe has worked at Syscomax as an estimator, Estimating Manager and, since 2017, Construction Manager. He is very familiar with the company’s values and has acquired a thorough understanding of Syscomax’s strategic directions. This will serve him well as he continues to support the company in realizing its objectives. We look forward to seeing Mr. Lapointe excel in his new duties.
