To continue to ensure these services, Aéroterm elected to build a brand new 68,377 sq. ft. building for the maintenance of equipment used in luggage handling. The design of this large building includes highly technical elements such as a concrete slab capable of handling heavy “push-back” equipment weighing over 65 tonnes used to back up aircraft from the terminals. The design also favours natural lighting and energy efficiency, while meeting the most stringent requirements regarding the treatment of toilet waste and rain water to avoid any contamination. Syscomax is also very proud of the building layout which preserves century-old trees and creates manoeuvring space with the help of gabion walls.
