Moisson Laurentides

Wishing to take an active role in the community. Syscomax partnered with Moisson Laurentides to assist the community organization with its goal of improving its services and efficiency in order to serve a greater number of people.

The new building, located on Legault Street in Blainville, is built on a steel structure and the exterior finish is composed of metal cladding and corrugated steel panels. The primary purpose of the 24,610-sqare-foot building is to store a large quantity of food items. In addition to doubling its initial surface area, Moisson Laurentides now has a refrigerated and freezer space that is four times larger, a space for storing dry food and multiple work areas that can accommodate many volunteers at the same time.

Syscomax made a donation equivalent to $250,000 by realizing the plans and quote at no cost to the non-profit organization.

“Syscomax's involvement in our project was the trigger that allowed us to take things to the next level and achieve our goal of feeding more people. Demand for food in the region is very strong and it was impossible for us to adequately meet it in our old facilities. We are also confident that the project parameters agreed upon and the quality of the infrastructure that Syscomax will put in place will be respected. This frees us to focus on our main mission: fighting hunger, feeding hope.”
