Syscomax Celebrates the Inauguration of the New Pallia-Vie Day Centre

On June 17, the Syscomax team had the privilege of attending the official inauguration of the Diane Richer Guénette Pavilion – In Memoriam, Fondation Famille Guénette, an event marked by emotion and gratitude celebrating the completion of a project that will have a meaningful impact on the Laurentians community.

Bringing together more than 200 guests, the ceremony organized by the Pallia-Vie Foundation was an opportunity to recognize the many donors, partners, and collaborators who contributed to the realization of this new facility, which now houses the region’s first specialized palliative care day centre, as well as Pallia-Vie’s outpatient clinic.

As the general contractor responsible for the design and construction of the project, Syscomax is particularly proud to have contributed to the creation of a facility of great importance for individuals living with serious illnesses and their loved ones. Delivered in recent months, the 4,600-square-foot pavilion integrates seamlessly with the existing hospice through a warm architectural approach combining wood, brick, and contemporary metal cladding.

Designed with users’ comfort and well-being at its core, the building features functional spaces, abundant natural light, and carefully planned acoustics to create a calm, welcoming environment conducive to rest and renewal.

This project was also made possible through an exceptional show of community support. Pallia-Vie’s fundraising campaign raised more than $7 million, complemented by significant donations of goods, materials, services, and professional expertise. Numerous organizations and businesses from across the region contributed to bringing this vision to life, once again demonstrating the power of collective action in addressing essential community needs. As a proud partner of the project, Syscomax was among its leading donors, reaffirming its commitment to supporting initiatives that create a lasting and meaningful impact within the community.
