Syscomax is proud to announce the launch of its seventh construction project for the Valdev Industrial Complex. Valdev 8 will be located within the Valdev Industrial Complex, in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. The site is strategically located for trade between the Canadian and U.S. markets, thanks to easy access to sea, rail and road routes.
Working closely with architectural firm Monty and engineering firm EXP, we’ve carefully aligned the project with our client’s needs and vision, which brings together aesthetics, sustainability and functionality, to create a building tailor-made for the future tenant. The new building, covering more than 100,000 square feet, will house a low-carbon-emitting metal-processing plant.
One of the main challenges of this project has been a strict schedule, to allow the tenant’s machinery to be installed on time. The building’s design takes into account the specific requirements of the plant, such as rigid concrete inclusions to support heavy loads and the integration of piles to support the weight of the equipment.
Work began on June 25, 2024, and will largely be completed by January 31, 2025. To ensure energy sustainability, efficiency and recovery, the plant will be built with high-quality materials, steel framing, efficient systems and a high-performance insulated envelope.
Valdev 8 will be a valuable addition to the Valdev Industrial complex in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
