After several working sessions in close collaboration with the family real estate company Helisis, the Syscomax team is proud to count among its achievements the new Le Solaris building, a high-density residential building located in Boisbriand.
Scheduled to be the tallest building in the Faubourg Boisbriand sector when it is delivered in May 2023, this recent nine-storey construction houses 133 rental housing units and 180 underground parking spaces, accommodating up to 30 charging stations for electric vehicles, thus maximizing the use of the limited land space adjacent to two residential buildings. The total surface area of the Le Solaris residential complex is 202,655 ft2 (18,827 m2), and includes a rooftop terrace with pool and spa, a gym, a reception hall and a lounge adapted for co-working. The building's sleek, contemporary architecture was entrusted to the experienced team at Forme Studio Architectes.
In terms of execution, Syscomax had to be strategic in implementing this project. With the main concrete slab representing 75% of the site's surface area, the site team had to use the Berliner wall method rather than conventional excavation to lay the building's foundations. What's more, given the post-pandemic situation in terms of supply difficulties, the Syscomax team had to pull out all the stops to maintain the established schedule – something for which, among other things, the company is renowned. The 18-month project ran from October 2021 to May 2023.
