On the strength of a partnership that began during the construction of Valdev's facilities totaling more than 300,000 sq. ft. in Laval and adapted for the operations of Pelican International company, Syscomax was entrusted with the mandate to build a second plant in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. The mandate consists of two phases, the first being major renovation work of a 140,000 sq. ft. building once occupied by Dominion Textile. Syscomax has also build a new 170,000 sq. ft. building with a 50 ft. high section to house the vertical blow moulding thermoformers used in the production of Pelican crafts. The total area of the new building is 316,472 sq. ft.
